Why is Changi airport the best in the world?
Travelling through this international airport is certainly an experience. It is by far the most efficient and cleanest airport I have ever been to. The Jewel (a 40-metre-high Rain Vortex—the world’s largest indoor waterfall) is the centrepiece and is surrounded by hundreds of trees with attractions and restaurants cleverly placed. With retail fit for royalty, the Changi airport is a shopper’s paradise. Local labels like Naiise and Supermama make for an authentic feel. There is so much to do. You could easily spend an entire day exploring this urban oasis. The Bouncing Net (a suspended trampoline) is a highlight for me. It gives a unique perspective of the tropical terminal. The Canopy Park, Topiary Walk, and Mirror Maze are also great experiences. If you are a foodie then Changi has a wide range of local and global cuisines on offer. From big brands to local dishes there is something for everyone. Make sure you check out Pink Fish, a casual seafood restaurant, hailing from Norway. And finally, throughout the airport, you will find machines where you can give feedback on your journey, no wonder why it has been voted the best airport for the seventh year running.
